    1. Hi Jacey, thanks for the comment!
I personally producing shareable content is one of the more efficient to attract attention! As viral marketing has always been the fastest way to send your message across in the shortest amount of time! A good example will be the “share a coca cola campaign”
if you’re targeting young adults i will recommend you to use “Snapchat:
Based on a research, Snapchat surpassed Facebook as the most popular social network among US teens. Snapchat will continue to add users ages 12 to 17, while Facebook will continue to lose users in that cohort. In fact, we estimate Snapchat will add 1.2 million new users in that age group by 2022, while Facebook will lose 2.2 million.

Snapchat has been more popular than Instagram among US teens for years. In 2018, 16.4 million 12- to 17-year-olds will use Snapchat, compared with 12.8 million for Instagram. Snapchat will remain dominant among teen users through 2022.

  1. Hello Earnest, I totally agree with you on the benefits of social media marketing that you have mentioned in this post. I think the first and foremost reason to why brands these days have priorities social media, as one of their marketing channel is due to it low cost. To all business, cost is always the key considerations shaping their strategies. The relevance of social media in marketing lies in the possibility to delivery marketing messages equally, or even more effectively than traditional media channel with minimal cost. At the same time, the reach and penetration of social media marketing is unparalleled by traditional media. I think this alone has given social media marketing the absolute advantage over other form of media.

  2. Interesting post! Social media marketing is indeed an important part of digital marketing. However, these advertising strategies can be annoying to smart phone users. I personally think that the increase in YouTube ads over the years have discouraged me from watching YouTube videos (https://www.androidauthority.com/youtube-tv-masthead-ads-1031436/). What do you think? Are you bothered by the advertisement overload in social media platforms?

    1. Hi Shengkai, i understand where you’re coming from! social media should be a platform for you to stay connected and socialize with your friends and family! it can be annoying at times but somehow we are very familiar with the “annoying” ads!!!
For example, we will remember the same old advertisement that appear before every youtube video that we watched.
That 15- 30s ad did bothered me… but what i find it amazing is the fact that it is so efficient in forcing information into our brain without us knowing it!
Yes, from a user point of view social media ads are annoying but we cant deny that it is super effective!

  3. Hey, I totally agree with you on those factors that causes the rise in social media marketing. Social media has became a vital part in everyone’s daily lives that is a channel/platform for human’s interaction, social circles.

I guess with the advancement of technology, companies/brands have to resort to advertising on social media platforms because that’s where everyone is at now! However, on a side note, this could be a negative experience for companies/brands who do not know how to utilize social media well.
